Celebrate the spirit of Italy with a special Ferragosto-inspired day at the museum this August.
Ferragosto, celebrated each year on August 15, is one of Italy’s most cherished holidays. Rooted in ancient Roman traditions and later connected to the Feast of the Assumption, it marks a time when families and friends gather to relax, share meals, travel, and enjoy the height of summer together.
Drawing inspiration from this beloved Italian tradition, the museum will host a day dedicated to culture, community, and discovery. Guests can enjoy a taste of Italian heritage while exploring the world of Leonardo da Vinci through engaging exhibits, special activities, and experiences inspired by the creativity and celebration that define Ferragosto.
More details will be announced soon as plans come together. We look forward to sharing this Italian summer tradition with Southern Colorado.
