Our Mission

Igniting curiosity, encouraging exploration, and inspiring creativity.

The Leonardo da Vinci Museum of North America is launching an innovative initiative to transform educational and cultural opportunities across Southern Colorado.

This hands-on museum will integrate the genius of Leonardo da Vinci—artist, inventor, scientist, and engineer—into a dynamic space for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning.

Leonardo da Vinci

The Original Multidisciplinary Mind

Leonardo was an engineer, artist, anatomist, designer, tinkerer, dreamer, and problem-solver — a true blueprint for the modern innovator. His notebooks overflow with mechanical diagrams, anatomical studies, observations of nature, flying machines, hydraulic systems, and riddles.

At the museum, we honor this spirit by creating a space where art and science meet, learning is hands-on, and every visitor can experience the joy of figuring out how things work.

Crafted by the Artisans of Florence

Every machine in our museum is hand-built by the internationally recognized Artisans of Florence, the world’s leading creators of historically accurate Leonardo da Vinci machine reconstructions.
Using wood, rope, metal, rivets, and engineering principles pulled directly from Leonardo’s codices, these artisans bring 500-year-old inventions into the modern world — with remarkable accuracy and craftsmanship.

In the News

A Museum of invention belongs in a city built by makers

Pueblo’s history runs on steel, innovation, and the resourcefulness of a community that builds things with its hands. As the city transforms the Riverwalk into a destination for culture and education, the museum is proud to stand as a cornerstone of that momentum.
Here in the heart of Colorado, Leonardo’s legacy of curiosity and creation finds a home where families, students, educators, and lifelong learners can explore the power of imagination.
